Last Chance to Urge Governor Newsom to Sign SB 436
CFRA Members- a HUGE thank you goes out to YOU and your support in getting our bill through both legislative houses!

SB 436, the bill we introduced earlier this year which would define what a Family Resource Center (FRC) is in California law, has passed through the state Senate and Assembly houses with no opposition. Without your input, support, insight and guidance over the last year, we could not have done this. This momentous accomplishment shows our CFRA membership, as well as the entire family strengthening field, what we can do TOGETHER! We are so honored and humbled to have gone through this process with you, and we are so excited to see what we do next.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, we just need ONE MORE thing in order for our bill to become law- Governor Newsom’s signature! We are so thrilled to have a champion like Governor Newsom, who invested $2 billion this year in his budget to support children and families in California. We are asking you to help us show the support that the FRC and family strengthening field have for SB 436, and urge Governor Newsom to sign SB 436 into law.

You can find a copy of the letter that will be sent to Governor Newsom here .

To show your support is EASY! Email Jenn at CFRA at [email protected] and let us know that you’re interested in signing on no later than COB, TODAY September 9 . In the email, include your organization’s logo, your name/title and organization’s name, and we’ll take it from there. Thanks again for all you do for children and families!
