  • Compulsory army service 1966/1967
  • Operations clerk with Lassen/LEP in Hamburg 1967 to 1969
  • Assistance to the Lassen Delegate in New York 1969 to 1971
  • Delegate of Lassen/LEP in Teheran/Iran 1971 to 1976
  • Department Manager for Panalpina, Hamburg responsible for Middle East 1976 until 1980
  • Department Manager with Haniel Transport, Hamburg responsible for Australia 1980 until 1983
  • Australian Delegate for Haniel Transport in Melbourne 1983 until 1985
  • Managing Director for Haniel Transport Australia, later Thyssen Haniel Logistics 1985 until 1998
  • Managing Director for Kuehne + Nagel Australia 1999 until 2013
  • CEO Strategic Sales for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics since February 2014

  • Life as a forwarder in the Australian market at present and in the future, and what is important to be successful in running a forwarding company in Australia today.
  • How freight forwarding has developed since 1983, what was important to customers and how that has changed.
  • The role of the customs agent, Sea freight vs Airfreight and Contract Logistics, and the roles they play in modern supply chains today.
