UNITE INDY Partner, Anthony Beverly's Stop the Violence
Indianapolis event surprised all the youth in attendance, when the "regular folks" that had been sitting at their tables turned out to be out-of-uniform police men and women. There were smiles all around and an understanding that police are people, just like their parents and teachers. This Indiana Pacer-sponsored event was just a small part of Beverly's work. Great job, Anthony! Check ou t Stop The Violence Indy
It's not Christmas...Why all the Presents?
Tomorrow is the big day for our hearing to receive a variance on the property for UNITE INDY'S 46208 headquarters and look at all the free stuff that was left for us in the parking area! Does anyone need a sofa or a really big cooler? Well, refuse or not, we are so excited about the potential of working in one of our target areas with great neighbors and other engaged and active people of good will. Prayers going up! Psalm 90:17
Three Huts
There was a man who was discovered on a tiny island in the Pacific. A castaway he was found by some sailors blown off track in a storm. The man was thin, but had survived and built three small huts. One of the sailers asked him, "Why are there three huts?" Ah...why were there three huts? The answer is funny, but the reasoning behind it mirrors our actions in everyday life. Read

What Can You Do To Help? Hmmmmm
Anyone can tell you: Not much gets done without money. For UNITE INDY to get a city-wide volunteer/need website going it takes people with computer skills who work individually with churches, businesses, charities and others, so that each has its own portal to enter the world of need in our city. We need a place to meet. We need to publish and insert the powerful testimonies and round table discussions that give suburban Indianapolis a much more personal understanding of the issues faced by our poor and hopeless. These are just a few of our needs, but any donation is so appreciated! Donate Here !
