Egg Hunt Openings

Only a few spots remain available for the Flashlight Egg Hunt this Friday night and the 7-10-year-old Egg Hunt this Saturday morning.

The Flashlight Egg Hunt has age groups of 7-9 and 10-12 and begins at 8 p.m., Friday night at Gregory B. Bott Community Park. Cost is $7/$9 for residents/non-residents.

The 7-10-year-old Egg Hunt begins at 10:45 a.m., Saturday morning at Gregory B. Bott Community Park. Cost is $5/$5 for residents/non-residents.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 29 at 9 a.m.

National Walking Day

In honor of National Walking Day, admission for the indoor elevated walking track at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center is FREE for residents Wednesday, April 5! Additionally, if a resident purchases an annual membership on April 5, they receive one month FREE! Visit the front desk April 5 to purchase the annual membership.

Adult Egg Hunt April 21

Enjoy music, pizza, pop and an egg hunt just for adults (no kids!) from 6 to 8 p.m., April 21 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. Fee of $20 includes pizza, pop, and one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase (cash only). This egg hunt is scheduled to be outdoors, but in the event of inclement weather will be moved indoors. Registration deadline is April 7. For adults 21 & over.

Early Bird Passes to Ottawa Street Pool

Season passes are now on sale! Ottawa Street Pool passholders receive early admittance and Passholder Appreciation Day. Passes are $40/$50 for residents/non-residents now through May 26. Prices increases to $55/$65 May 27. Passes must be purchased in person.

Great Adventures Preschool Information

Registration applications for the 2023-24 school year are now being accepted at the Great Adventures preschool office located inside the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center at 24550 W. Renwick Road in Plainfield. Registration packets are available online. Call the Great Adventures Office at 779-252-2746 or email greatadventures@plfdparks.org with questions or for more information.

Adult Athletic Leagues

Registration is now available for the following adult athletic leagues: 

• Adult Flag Football, April 23-June 25, Sundays, Four Seasons Park
• Adult Pickleball, April 29-June 24, Saturdays, Ottawa Park
• Adult Men's Softball, May 17 - July 19, Wednesdays, Four Seasons Park
• Adult Co-ed Softball, May 16 - July 18, Tuesdays, Four Seasons Park

NEW! Summer Basketball League

New this summer! The Plainfield Park District is hosting boys and girls basketball leagues for grades 1-4. League emphasizes proper techniques, knowledge of the rules, team strategy, participation and fun. Practices start the week of June 12, with games beginning the weekend of June 24. Enrollment is limited, so register early.

Horse Lesson Openings

Normantown Equestrian Center has an abundance of openings for its group lessons, pony rides and summer camps.

Gary Kantor Magic Class

Participants learn tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading and more at Gary Kantor's Magic Class, set for 6:45 to 7:40 p.m., April 27. Tricks are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children ages 5-12 are grouped by age and learn tricks that are age appropriate.
