DEA Required Training Deadline
Drug Enforcement Agency explained on a card held by a hand
This is a friendly reminder that beginning June 27, 2023, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will now require one-time attestation of eight hours of CME accredited training on management of substance use disorders (SUDs) prior to renewal of a DEA registration.

The FAFP responded by quickly developing education courses that satisfy the requirement addressing the treatment and management of opioid and other substance use disorders. The best part is, it is provided at NO COST to FAFP members.

In fact, all FAFP enduring educational programs provided in the FAFP Online Library are offered complimentary to FAFP members and can be completed at your own convenience.

This is yet another example of how the FAFP provides value-based programs and services to support our members. Click here for FAFP SUD topics, learning objectives, and SAMHSA core curriculum elements.

Gas stoves are a health risk. This is true especially for children and the elderly. People who live in homes with gas stoves have more asthma, lung disease, and cardiovascular disease. This month, the Academy’s My Green Doctor provides a free 1-hour CME webinar that is being offered at three different times on Thursday July 13. We also have a short article on this vital topic (reading time: 5 mins).
