BUTLER SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR (MAY 10-13)
Scholastic Book Fair
May 10-13

Butler’s Spring Book Fair is Tuesday, May 10 through Friday May 13.

PLEASE VOLUNTEER AT THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
We need parent volunteers for assistance with student book selection and clean-up. Click here for a schedule of class times and available volunteer slots. You can sign up to help any time, not just when your child is scheduled to go to the book fair.

E-WALLET & PAYMENT OPTIONS
Book Fair purchases can be made with cash, credit card (must be the credit card itself, not only the numbers), checks (made payable to "Butler PTO"), or Ewallet.

Ewallet is a virtual giftcard program through scholastic. It has changed from the way it was in the past. The money you add to the ewallet remains on your ewallet. If there are unused funds after the fair, you can save it for the next fair, or use it on the scholastic sites. Each child will need their own EWallet. Click here to sign up for ewallet.

If you have additional questions, please contact Amanda Bonsall.

LAST CALL FOR PTO VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
volunteers
Thank you to the volunteers who have stepped up to chair committees for next year. We can't run events without volunteers and we have just a few more key positions for next year. Please see below and email if you are able to help.

  • Spring Fair Co-Chair - This committee plans and organizes our largest fundraising event of the year. You would be joining an experienced PTO member in this role! Thank you for Tracey Johnston for all your work in planning this event for the past few years!
  • Co-Family Programming - Have you chaired an event at Butler in the past and want to get more involved? The co-family programming chair would join the PTO executive board to oversee the great family events that our PTO runs. This includes checking in with the planning committees for events like Butler Bash, BINGO night, Sports nights AND MORE! This is a really fun role!!

To sign up for these committees, Please reach out to Amanda Bonsall.

The Spring Fair is our only annual fundraiser to encourage family fun as well as help support many initiatives at Butler such as playground equipment, library books, school assemblies, and so much more. This event is held rain or shine, so come enjoy lots of family fun while supporting Butler students! We need your help to make the Spring Fair a success!

SPRING FAIR VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP
We are excited to announce that the volunteer sign-ups are now live for the 2022 Butler Spring Fair. E-mails will be going out via your homeroom parent. The success of this event is due largely in part to your generosity in volunteering just a few hours of your time to help.

Click here to choose your desired time slot to volunteer. Clearances are not needed to volunteer on Saturday.
CAN YOU DONATE A CAKE OR BAKED GOOD?
One of our most popular games at Spring Fair is like musical chairs, but the winner gets a cake as a prize. We need your help to make this game a success. Please consider donating either homemade or store-bought cakes or cupcakes. Please click here to sign up to bring in an item.
RAFFLE BASKETS AND FUN JARS
Adults will enjoy the Basket Raffles and children can use their game tickets in to win a Fun Jar of their choosing.

Fun Jars and Raffle Baskets can not be successful without your help. Please reach out to your child’s Homeroom Coordinator for more information.

Any questions, please contact Jennifer Mininger (Baskets), or Edna Miller (Fun Jars).

**REMINDER - YOU MUST HAVE CLEARANCES TO VOLUNTEER
A friendly reminder - in order to volunteer in the classroom, you must have current volunteer clearances through CBSD. The process is EASY and all done online using the Volunteer Tracker App to track volunteer clearances. Every CB volunteer will need to register, and upload their clearances.

Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children obtain background checks and clearances. Click here for the required clearances, along with links to the state’s websites, which may be found on the CBSD website.

**Please note: Butler will follow the Health and Safety plan of the District. All volunteer opportunities are subject to change based on District guidelines. You MUST have current clearances in order to volunteer. Click here for volunteer clearance information.
