Dear Art Enthusiast,
The 2025 Business of Art Symposium is almost here—happening Saturday, September 27 at Sierra College in Grass Valley. This annual gathering, hosted by Nevada County Arts Council, is where artists, cultural leaders, and community members come together to explore how creativity shapes our future.
We’re thrilled to share that the day opens with a keynote address by Danielle Brazell, Executive Director of the California Arts Council, who will offer a forward-looking vision of the role of artists in building California’s cultural future.
Arts Council of Placer County will also be well-represented on the program:
-
Jenny Darlington-Person, ACPC Executive Director, will co-present a two-part Grant Writing for Artists & Arts Organizations series. From insider advice on what funders look for, to hands-on proposal writing and budgeting tools, these sessions are designed to set artists and arts groups up for success.
-
Patrick Storm, ACPC’s marketing strategist, will present Digital Artistry Unleashed: Elevating Your Instagram Presence and Media Connections, showing artists how to build a professional brand, authentically engage audiences, and leverage media opportunities.
With timely conversations about funding, technology, ethics, and sustainability—plus practical tools and connections for creative workers, arts lovers, and community leaders—this symposium promises inspiration and impact.
Register today to secure your spot.
We hope to see you there for a day of learning, connecting, and celebrating the role of the arts in our communities.
Warmly,
Jenny Darlington-Person
