Brotherhood, Leadership, and History Made: Tuku’ut Lodge Celebrates a Landmark OA Conclave
Greater LA Scouting’s Tuku’ut Lodge recently hosted over 325 participants for the annual Order of the Arrow’s (OA) G18N Section Conclave at Cabrillo Beach Youth Center in San Pedro. This energetic and spirited event, with Arrowmen from six different Lodges in our geographic region, provided an opportunity to gather and celebrate the values of the OA: Brotherhood, cheerful service, and leadership. Lifelong friendships with Arrowmen from lodges that span from Central California to Long Beach were built through trainings, shows, activities, and friendly inter-lodge competitions. The OA’s National Chief, Samuel Crowder, Gateway Region Chief, Haley Flores, and 10 Section Chiefs flew in from all around the country for the weekend-long event.
The Section Conclave is also when Section Officers are elected to lead the Section for the following year. Tuku’ut Lodge is extremely proud to announce that their very own Jennifer K. was elected as the 2025 - 2026 G18N Section Chief! She makes history as the first female chief in the Section’s long 80+ year history. Jennifer will serve alongside Section Vice-Chief Elliot C. (Malibu Lodge) and Section Secretary Arihant S. (Spe-Le-Yai Lodge) and be mentored by Section Adviser Zachary Johnson (Tuku’ut Lodge), who recently succeeded John Nelson (Tuku’ut Lodge).
At the conclusion of the event, Tuku’ut Lodge was awarded the coveted Section G18N Outstanding “TOP” Lodge trophy! They look forward to the challenge for a 3-peat next year!
