Yogic Breathing + Meditation
Followed by 30 minute Q+A session
Friday October 25th 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Firmly established in mind, body, and emotion, Yoga offers us the power to find peaceful inner self in the middle of any action and hardship. Yogic breathing is one of the most powerful tools to reconnect on a deep inner level. In this workshop, you will breathe to soothe and calm your mind as well as breathe to energize yourself. We will end this session with open discussion and Q&A.

Asana Foundations - The Standing Series
Saturday October 26th 1:00pm - 3:00pm

By developing a conscious use of our legs during our standing poses, we learn advantageous alignment principles that enhances energy, facilitates health, and prevents injury. When we utilize the ground below correctly, these key asanas connect us to the core of our pelvis, spine, and bandhas. In this workshop, you will learn how this humble series of postures builds deep inner awareness and structural foundation for forward bends, back-bends, inversions, and deep hip opening work. Gain a newfound appreciation for this foundational work of yoga asana.

Jumping, Walking, Rolling, and Floating - Transitions in practice
Saturday October 26th 3:30pm - 5:30pm

In the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice, we spend as much time transitioning between postures as we do holding them individually. In this workshop, we will explore the many types of transitions we experience in practice. Starting with floating in Surya Namaskara, then to the illusive (and challenging) seated jump throughs and jump backs, and finally into the more complex entrances to arm balances and inversions. We will understand how and where to use strength and stability while creating lightness and ease in the body and mind. Come with a sense of adventure!

Intro to Nadi Shodana - Demystifying the Intermediate Series
Sunday October 27th 1:00pm - 3:30pm

In this workshop, Tim takes you through a detailed, intense, and fun exploration of how the Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga unlocks the spine, hips, and upper body while creating strength and developing a deep sense of calmness-in-action. Taking root in healthy anatomical patterns, you will identify energetic pathways that lead to pain-free deep backbends, safe hip opening, and a step-by-step method to master the arm balances. Also known as “The Second Series”, this group of postures challenges both flexibility and strength while teaching mastery of the nervous system.
About Tim Feldmann
Tim Feldmann is the director of Miami Life Center, the yoga shala he founded with his wife Kino MacGregor and Matt Tashjian. He was set on the yoga path by his first teacher Lino Miele and is authorized to teach directly by the founder of the Ashtanga Yoga Method, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson, R. Sharath Jois. A practitioner of the Advanced A series Tim is dedicated to Ashtanga Yoga’s traditional method.

A near fatal falling accident in 1992 led Tim on the yogic path. His teaching integrates extensive studies of the F.M. Alexander Technique and sitting meditation with 20 years of experience as a professional dancer and an internationally acclaimed choreographer. His in-depth knowledge of functional anatomy, alignment, and the idiosyncratic body and mind in stillness and in motion creates the platform upon which his solid understanding of the Ashtanga method rests.
Tim’s humorous, straight forward yet profound teaching style makes him a cherished teacher, traveling extensively throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas.
