Walk With Marissa

Marissa, 19 years old, experienced her first seizure when she was nine months old.
She has been seizure free for ten months.

Marissa is currently enrolled in college, taking online classes. " I do not like having seizures. Like everyone else, I want to be seizure-free. In high school, I won a poetry contest for writing To Be Free, a poem about Epilepsy."

To Be Free
I see tiny dots, blue,
purple, red
and orange spots and dots.
I am falling, falling, falling
magic sprinkles Depakote
sliding down my thirsty throat
No more spots
gone the dots.
Epilepsy's not my friend
Oh how I wish I could send
the seizures far away from me
and then forever I'll be free.

Stroll with Marissa and EFNC on  May 16th at Six Flags  to fight epilepsy.
Dribble. Shoot.
