The kingdom of God is like...

Jesus speaks in parables and the central image in the parables is a seed. Why would Jesus choose something so fragile, so vulnerable, so reliant on the conditions of everything around it, to represent God's kingdom in the world?  Let's explore this question together: Thursday morning at Bible study at 9:30 AM and in worship this weekend.

Mighty God, to be part of Your kingdom is to be part of something that is pure potential. To be part of Your kingdom requires tending and nurturing our faith. Thank you for the example of Jesus who guides us. In His name we pray, Amen.

Why does Jesus speak in parables instead of 'telling it plain'?

Ash Wednesday Worship services will be held February 14 at 1PM and 7PM.

We surround with our prayers Hank and Lynn Payne following the death of Lynn’s mom, Jerri Wallace (also a GLC member) this past weekend. A memorial service will be planned later this winter.
