FINAL CALL - SUBMIT YOUR CONFERENCE IDEAS TODAY!

Sunday, January 31, is the last day to submit your 2021 conference ideas!   In order for us to plan for the topics and speakers you are interested in and have a meaningful conference for all attendees, please fill out our online form with your ideas.   The 2021 Annual Conference suggestions form can be found here. On this page, you will see a drop-down button labeled "2021 FRA Conference Session Submittal Form." Click the drop-down button to review and complete the form questions. Once you are finished, please click the blue "Submit" button at the bottom of the form. For more information on this year's conference, visit the official annual conference page. The 2021 FRA Annual Conference will be held at the Luminary Hotel in Fort Myers, October 27-29. We are in the initial planning stages and all protocols will be followed to keep our attendees, exhibitors and staff safe.

AWARD SPOTLIGHT: CREATIVE ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDING This week we are highlighting the East Tampa CRA for winning the 2020 Creative Organizational Development and Funding Award! East Tampa CRA's project, Urban 360, is fulfilling the community’s dream of new homeownership for moderate to low-income families. The City did this by partnering with local urban infill home builders to construct these quality homes. So far, 80 homes have been built within 19 months by Domain Homes and in partnership with non-profit organizations. This volume and pace of home construction has not occurred in East Tampa in decades, bringing a renewed energy to the community and turning it into a desirable urban housing location. JOBS AROUND THE STATE Community Development Director - City of Live Oak The City of Live Oak is seeking a community development director responsible for the overall management, supervision, operation, planning, organizing and budgeting of the Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, Community Redevelopment and Planning/Building assistants and other support staff.  The primary function is the performance of technical and professional planning work to implement, administer and enforce the Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Regulations and Code of Ordinances, with an emphasis on facilitating future growth and development in the City.   Read the full opening here.
