Impact Story:
Animal Welfare League of Alexandria
We encourage you to share your story so we can highlight you in our social media and emails!

"With the support from Spring2ACTion we were able to advance our impact within the City of Alexandria.

Firstly, we embarked on a mission to ensure the safety and well-being of our beloved pets by providing 354 microchips, each representing a precious life safeguarded within our community.

Fueled by compassion and determination, we distributed a staggering 56,311 pounds of nourishment and essential supplies to families in need, ensuring that no pet went hungry or lacked basic care.

Our commitment to serving the furry members of our community extended further as we opened the doors of our community pet pantry to support 2,868 animals, offering a lifeline to those facing hardships.

But our impact didn't end there. With open hearts and open arms, we welcomed 702 animals into our care, providing refuge and a second chance to those in search of a forever home."

Coffee & Conversations: Money Matters
Thursday, March 14
You are invited to join us for our first Coffee & Conversations of 2024! The ACT Program Team started Coffee & Conversations in 2022 as a way to connect with our nonprofit partners out in the community. We've hosted open "office hours" and conversations around different topics like racial equity and trust-based philanthropy all around the city. These sessions are a casual way for us to connect with you and hear what's on your mind and share what's on ours.
Our upcoming session on Thursday, March 14 will include ACT's Chief Development Officer, Tricia Ritchie. Tricia is excited to hear your development questions and to help facilitate a group conversation about fundraising highlights and challenges. We know that money matters! Let's talk about what's working and share new ideas. We want to hear how your organization is navigating the fiscal cliff and ending of COVID relief funding. Tricia will also share about the various funds ACT offers that can be advantageous to nonprofits and their donors.

You and your organizations make Alexandria a better place! Let's connect and support one another as we ensure Alexandria is a vibrant and equitable community where everyone can thrive...that includes our nonprofit leaders!
