Meet at the manager's booth at 4 pm for a costume parade around the market. Please RSVP below with the number of children participating to help with our planning.
PORTRAITS OF OUR FARMERS
As the market season comes to an end, we just want to say a huge "thank you" to our wonderful group of farmers, who work hard, show up rain or shine, and never, ever, complain.

COMMUNITY SERVINGS' PIE IN THE SKY FUNDRAISER
Community Servings is at the Newton Farmers' Market this Tuesday, with their  Pie in the Sky fundraiser. Purchase a Thanksgiving pie from this not-for-profit food and nutrition program, and they'll use your donation to provide a week's worth of nutritious meals to Massachusetts' families living with critical and chronic illnesses. The pies are baked by 150 of Greater Boston's most generous bakeries, restaurants, hotels and caterers, and are available for Thanksgiving pickup at convenient locations.
WHAT WE'RE COOKING THIS WEEK:
SOBA NOODLES WITH EGGPLANT & MANGO
Eggplant is a delicious fall find at the market, and we're always looking for recipes that incorporate this fruit. (Yes, eggplant is actually a fruit, not a vegetable.) Enter Yotam Ottolenghi's extraordinary Soba Noodles with Eggplant & Mango recipe from his cookbook, Plenty. There are so many flavors incorporated in this healthy dish which can be served as an entree or side. The recipe is available online HERE.
PICK UP YOUR PUMPKIN AT THE MARKET!
