How to Start a Business In Baldwin County

On Tuesday, August 25th, the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce hosted its How to Start a Small Business workshop, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs and community members for a morning of learning and networking! The event was a great success, and attendees gained valuable information and resources to help them take the next steps toward starting and growing a business.

A special thank you to Yo Johnson from the Alabama SBDC and representatives from Baldwin County and the City of Bay Minette for sharing their knowledge and expertise. Topics covered included taxes, planning and zoning, and licensing, along with other important aspects of starting a business.

We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make this event such a positive experience. We are proud to support local entrepreneurs and look forward to seeing these future business owners succeed!

Canyons & Castles Meeting

Our Canyons & Castles Information Meeting this Monday was a wonderful success! We were delighted to welcome guests for an evening of travel inspiration and conversation. Attendees enjoyed hearing from Jack Brinson, who shared exciting details about our upcoming 2027 travel experiences, including America's Cowboy Country and Enchanting Christmas Markets. His insights and enthusiasm gave everyone a glimpse of the unforgettable adventures that await. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Kristy for the delicious homemade cowboy cookies, which were a favorite among attendees and added a special touch to the evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We appreciate your support and enthusiasm and look forward to traveling together and creating lasting memories in the years ahead.

Networking @ Noon

Thank you to everyone who joined us Wednesday for Networking at Noon at Greer's! The event was filled with great conversations, new connections, and inspiring discussions about the businesses, ideas, and goals that help our community thrive. It was exciting to see so many professionals come together to share experiences, build relationships, and support one another. The energy in the room was truly outstanding, and we are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a tremendous success. Solid Waste Authority Bus

Thursday, the North Baldwin Chamber’s Board of Directors had the exciting opportunity to welcome the Solid Waste Authority’s new Recycling Information Bus for an interactive and educational visit. Board members toured the bus and gained valuable insight into the recycling process, including why recycling is so important, what happens to materials after they are collected, and the wide variety of items that can be recycled. It was an engaging experience filled with fascinating facts and practical information about protecting our environment and making a positive impact in our community.

WKRG Weather Radios

WKRG stopped by our local Greer's Wednesday to help North Baldwin residents program their weather radios and get prepared for severe weather, and the turnout was incredible! The event was packed with community members taking advantage of this valuable opportunity to ensure they stay informed during weather emergencies.

If you missed the event, don't worry, Greer's still has weather radios in stock. A big thank you to Ed Bloodsworth for sharing these great photos and helping us capture the excitement of the day!
