Dear Ones,

I pray you are well enough in these times. A few notes and updates for you today.

Please mark your calendar for our special 4th of July Prayer Vigil at 4pm. Whether you attend in person or via livestream, your presence and prayers matter at a time when community-building is our essential task. We will pray for wisdom and mercy to be guides to our country's leadership, and for the courage to engage the challenges that face our nation today. I hope to see you there.
This is our last weekend for our NourishPHX food drive! If you haven't yet, please grab an assortment of shelf-stable foods that we can contribute. Let's do what we can to make folks' lives a little bit better. Thank you!
Sunday Sound Training will happen again this Sunday following the 9am service - even if you don't have much experience, we will train you and you'll work alongside a partner until you get comfortable. If you were on the fence, we really could use a few more folks, so stop into the balcony this Sunday at 10am!
Sign-ups for our roller-skating day are in full swing. There will be a signup sheet at the desk in Olney, or just email Padre Omar at Omar@trinitycathedral.com. July 12, 1pm.
Do you know someone who needs extra prayers who might benefit from a Comfort Quilt? Our wonderful quilting ministry has some quilts that we can bless and share. Let Padre Omar know if you have someone in mind!

Entrenamiento de Sonido Dominical ocurrirá de nuevo este domingo después del servicio de las 9am - aunque no tengas mucha experiencia, te entrenaremos y trabajarás junto a un compañero hasta que te sientas cómodo. ¡Si usted estaba en la valla, realmente podríamos utilizar algunas personas más, así que pase por el balcón este domingo a las 10 am!

Prayers for our Nation - next Friday

As Christians committed to peace, love, and hope for the future, we join together in prayer for our Nation on July 4 at 4pm. There are many painful and challenging things afoot in our country right now and we need to pray for the courage to engage those issues faithfully. The service will be both in person and on our livestream. Before you need to fire up the grill, join us in prayer!

BACK-PACK DRIVE BEGINS!

Garfield Elementary students are heading back to school July 30th and we are going to help provide their backpacks. We will need at least 60 back packs, filled with the following:

1 personal pencil box or pouch

1 box of pencils

2 pink erasers

1 box of colored pencils (Crayola preferred)

1 box of washable markers (Crayola preferred)

1 box of crayons (Crayola preferred)

glue sticks

12-inch ruler

Please bring your stuffed backpack to Trinity Cathedral by July 20th at the latest! The backpacks will be blessed in the July 27 th service and ready to go for the kids on the first day of school! Email Deacon Myra with questions! Myra@trinitycathedral.com.

Summer Choir Continues - Open to All

Every Sunday during summer, you can join the Sunday choir by showing up at 8:15am to get ready for our 9am service. Work with our Canon Musician, Erik Goldstrom, to help lead worship. The art show this summer is “The Bees Knees,” “Aces,” “Swell,” “Neato,” “Far Out,” “Gnarly,” “Awesome,” “Hot,” and “Lit.” Feel free to choose the adjective from your youth!

Our summer exhibit in the Olney Gallery is a photographic and artistic history of our beloved Cathedral, as well as some of the people who worshipped here.

Prayers of the People

Oración de los Fieles

We pray for peace,

for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Iran, and in Ukraine.

We ask your prayers for the poor,

the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process.

We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.

We pray for: Surya, Jeff, Gloria, Karl, Jill, Jonathan, Eve, Merle, and Charles

We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.

Oremos para la paz,

por la buena voluntad de naciones, y para el bienestar de todos pueblos. Rezamos por nuestro Presidente y por el Congreso, el Gabinete y el Tribunal Supremo. Rezamos por la justicia y la paz, especialmente en Gaza, Iran, y Ucrania.

Pedimos tus oraciones para los con recursos limitados,
