TRAA's Legislative Action Workshop & Hill Day
Wow, to say that TRAA's fourth annual Legislative Action Workshop & Hill Day was a success would be an understatement! Together we made real progress towards getting support for the National Move Over Law Day Resolution (H.Res.1052) and amending federal weights and measures regulations (23 U.S.C. 127).

Collectively we had constituent meetings with over 37 Members of Congress and their staffers to discuss the industry and our needs. Plus, the group met with another 4 Members of Congress and professional staff on the Transportation & Infrastructure Committees for both the House and Senate.

The group also met with Larry Minor, the Associate Administrator for Policy at FMCSA. Larry gave us insight into regulations in the pipeline and valuable tips into how we can differentiate ourselves from the rest of trucking.
The pace of change is slow in DC, but we are gaining serious steam in addressing several of the industry's key issues. Your membership and support in TRAA make this good work on behalf of the industry possible.
