Reporting to NANB’s Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead the organization through a dynamic time of organizational change and champion for the organization’s mandate to regulate the nursing profession in the interest of the public. As the CEO, you will be responsible for facilitating the decision-making responsibilities of the Board and providing leadership in short and long-term strategic planning for the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB). You will engage, motivate and empower a strong and dedicated team. You will maintain and build effective relationships with NANB registrants, partners and subsidiary organizations, the provincial and federal government, and provincial and national nursing and health-related organizations.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the Director of Registration is responsible for ensuring all applicants are processed fairly in keeping with the Engineering Profession Act and the principles of the Fair Registration Practices Act. The Director builds relationships with applicants, ensuring they are clear on the requirements, set up for success, and confident in the support provided by Engineers Nova Scotia. The Director works closely with applicants and registrants to ensure licensure requirements are clear. Additionally, the Director supports the Board of Examiners in their review and assessment of all applications, and based on the Board of Examiners’ decisions, provides guidance to those applicants on the next steps and/or program details.

The Society is the independent, trusted and respected regulator of the legal profession. Acting in the public interest, they provide leadership, value and support to a competent, ethical, inclusive and engaged legal profession.


The Professional Responsibility Counsel supports the Society’s professional responsibility and public protection mandate by providing legal counsel respecting professional responsibility, ethics and related regulatory and compliance matters and is a key member of the Professional Responsibility department. The Professional Responsibility Counsel provides other in-house legal services as required and is responsible for ensuring the currency and accuracy of the Code of Professional Conduct.

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is an independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario.


FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The agency is flexible, self-funded and designed to respond rapidly to an evolving commercial and consumer environment.


The Director, Actuarial Services is accountable for providing leadership and assisting the Chief Actuary in the delivery of actuarial services or initiatives relating to actuarial and pension plan risk matters in support of overall Relationship Management and Prudential Supervision strategies.

CPATA is a new, state of the art, national regulator (established June 28, 2021) and the only independent public interest regulator and licensing body of patent agents and trademark agents in Canada (a total of roughly 2,500 licensees). CPATA was established by the Government of Canada, by statute enacted in 2018 through the College of Patent Agents and Trademark Agents Act (the Act), to protect the public interest by strengthening the competencies of patent agents and trademark agents, and building confidence in accessible, ethical, and expert intellectual property services in Canada.



The CEO serves and supports CPATA’s Board of Directors in the execution of its responsibilities under the Act and regulations, providing strategic, operational, financial, and administrative oversight to the College. As the chief staff officer, the CEO leads a distributed team of 5 full-time and 2 part-time staff, and fosters a collaborative, supportive, service-oriented culture that is committed to equity, inclusion, and diversity. The CEO works with the Board to develop CPATA’s future strategic plans and priorities and to align organizational resources to achieve them, and ensures that the College’s policies follow applicable legislation, professional ethics, and best business and management practices.
