Reporting to the Executive Director, Client & People Services, the Director, Human Resources manages the human resources team and is the lead advisor to senior staff of the Law Society on human resources issues and best practices. The Director is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year Human Resources Plan in support of operational objectives and the strategic plan of the organization. The role also provides strategic advice to the LSO’s Senior Management Team and drives the importance and role of people in long term planning.

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) is the statutory body responsible for regulating Ontario’s capital markets in accordance with the mandate established in the provincial Securities Act and the Commodity Futures Act. The Commission’s mandate is to provide protection to investors from unfair, improper or fraudulent practices, to foster fair and efficient capital markets and confidence in capital markets, and to contribute to the stability of the financial system and the reduction of systemic risk. This mandate is performed through policy, operational, adjudication and enforcement work. The OSC also contributes to national and global securities regulation development.

The Communications & Public Affairs Branch plays an integral role in promoting the OSC’s reputation as an effective and responsive securities regulator. The Branch provides strategic communications advice to ensure the timely and effective communication of OSC priorities, policies and actions across all corporate channels. These include stakeholder engagement, executive remarks, corporate materials, internal communications, media relations, issues management, the OSC Website and intranet, and enterprise social media.

The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) is the regulatory (licensing) organization for the province’s Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
CLPNA regulates the profession by setting entry-to-practice requirements, establishing, promoting and enforcing standards for registration, practice, and professional conduct, and enhancing the care provided by members of the profession through the Continuing Competency Program.

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Officer provides accountability for departmental planning, directing, staffing, coordinating and controlling functions and activities which contributes to the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures which align with the CLPNA Vision and Values.
