COMPLIANCE MANAGER, INSPECTIONS

Our mission is to support compliance with individual producer responsibility through education and enforcement to foster Ontario’s circular economy, spur innovation, and protect the environment.

Our mandate from the Government of Ontario is to advance a circular economy by enforcing the requirements of the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016 (RRCEA) and the Waste Diversion Transition Act, 2016 (WDTA) and their related regulations.


The Compliance Manager, Inspections is a key member of the Compliance and Registry Team and is responsible for the leading the operational day-to-day management of the Authority’s compliance and inspection program using modern regulator principles. The Manager will lead a team of Compliance and Registry Officers (CROs) that is responsible for enforcing the requirements under the RRCEA and the WDTA and their associated regulations including: the Tires Regulation, the Batteries Regulation, the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation, and anticipated RRCEA regulations for Hazardous or Special Products and Blue Box materials.

The New Brunswick College of Pharmacists (the College) was established in 1884. The College is responsible for regulating the practice of pharmacy in New Brunswick. The mandate, “Governing the practice of pharmacy for a healthier New Brunswick” guides all College activities.

We are currently seeking a lawyer versed in administrative law to assume the part-time role of Administrator of Complaints. This is a key role with overall responsibility for all administrative activities related to the complaints and discipline component of pharmacy regulation. The Administrator of Complaints will work closely with the Deputy Registrar and/or Registrar to address complaints against registrants of the College. This posting does not include the role of general legal counsel to the College. External counsel provides this expertise.

The Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta (ECAA) is seeking a dynamic leader with experience in association management in a member-driven organization, with an understanding of Regulatory standards and reporting to a not-for-profit Board. The ECAA provides progressive industry training and engages government on behalf of members to address barriers, improve business certainty and advance professionalism in the industry.

Major duties involve leading a staff of four, providing support to the Board in its governance activities, assistance to the Labour Relations chair, overseeing professional regulation in protecting the public, and fostering strong relationships with government and stakeholders. Working with the Professional Electrical Contractor chair adheres to the requirements of the Professional Occupational & Associations Registrations Act (POARA) and Professional Electrical Contractor & Master Electrician (PEC&ME) Regulation.  This is a full-time permanent position that primarily operates out of the ECAA office at 17725 – 103 Avenue. Travel and overtime part of expected duties.
REGISTRAR/DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE

The College of Applied Biology was created by an act of the Provincial Legislature and changes to The College of Applied Biology Act (2002) require legislative approval. The College of Applied Biology Act is the only legislation of its kind in North America, and is the first time applied biologists have been granted full professional status through self-governing legislation.

As a critical member of the College of Applied Biology’s (the College) senior management team, the Registrar/ Director of Compliance is responsible for the effective and efficient development and implementation of the College’s registration, compliance investigations, discipline, accreditation programs, and providing strategic advice to the College’s Council and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
