Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), Edmonton, AB

Governed by the Health Professions Act, the Alberta College of Pharmacy (“ACP”) is responsible for quality pharmacy practice in Alberta. The ACP governs pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies to support and protect the public’s health and well-being. ACP takes responsibility for pharmacy practice by setting and enforcing high standards of competence and ethical conduct. However, as a single entity within Alberta’s broader health system, interdependencies amongst partners and stakeholders are critical to success.

Reporting to the Registrar, the Senior Director of Operations and Finance (Senior Director) is responsible for overseeing all operational functions of the college including finance, human resources and IT. The current team reporting to the Senior Director, both directly and indirectly, is approximately 11 professionals. The Senior Director will provide leadership, risk management, and maintain the college as a workplace of choice. Their efforts will ensure the financial stability and sustainability of the college, the identification of potential operational risks and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, and an effective workplace that enables team members to be successful personally and collectively.

Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President, Operations supports the organization through the development and execution of a strategy in support of the organizations overall vision and mission. With an overall focus on Safety, this NFP organization is going through a significant transformation, requiring a resilient, collaborative and engaging leader. It will be important for this leader to have direct experience leading an organization through a transformation, appreciating where the distinct challenges lie. The Vice President, Operations leads the largest single team in this organization, so the opportunity to have an impact is substantial.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, Burlington, ON

ICCRC is the national regulatory body that promotes and protects the public interest by overseeing regulated immigration consultants and international student advisors. ICCRC establishes effective policies, practices, and procedures to regulate and educate immigration consultants.

ICCRC is looking for a strong leader and communicator to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO is responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership of the Council’s Finance, Human Resources and Operational services through clear direction, guidance and oversight into all operations of the organization.  The COO is responsible for leading and guiding the operational translation of the strategic plan into a living and prioritized plan.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the COO leads the operational teams and contributes as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT). This role is accountable for participating in the fulfillment of the Mission and Vision of ICCRC in a manner that is consistent with ICCRC values.
