The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is a government delegated regulatory body that enforces the provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002, (FBCSA) on behalf of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Its mandate is to regulate and oversee the professional standards of licensed funeral establishment operators, directors and preplanners; cemetery, crematorium and alternative disposition operators; transfer service operators; and bereavement sector sales representatives across the province of Ontario.

The Team Lead, Trust Compliance provides leadership, guidance and support to the Trust Compliance team and oversees the timely processing of annual licence renewal and financial submissions, and the monitoring of care and maintenance and prepaid trust funds. The Team Lead is responsible for the maintenance of data integrity and is the go-to source for all reports related to financial submissions of BAO licensees.
