Momentum’s Woman of Impact Award honors Alabama women leaders who do extraordinary work to positively impact lives of others in the community, business, culture or politics.


These award honorees are truly distinguished women leaders who have a lifetime of accomplishments in the service of others. We'll share their inspirational stories at the Woman of Impact conference luncheon.

Cathy Sloss Jones

Cathy Sloss Jones is President and CEO of Sloss Real Estate Company, a multidisciplinary firm founded by her grandfather in 1920. Her focus is on urban redevelopment/revitalization and the renewal of the community. She has received numerous awards including, Birmingham Businesswoman of the Year, and in 2017 Cathy was named to the Alabama Academy of Honor, Alabama’s highest award. Full Bio

Bobbie Knight

In August 2019 Bobbie Knight was elected as the fifteenth president, and first woman to serve at the helm of Miles College. Knight, who is a Birmingham native, retired in 2016 after a successful career of more than 37 years with Alabama Power Company. Throughout her career Knight held various executive and leadership positions, including Vice President of the Birmingham Division (Alabama Power’s largest division), Vice President of Public Relations, and General Manager of Supply Chain. Stephanie Bryan

In 2014, Stephanie Bryan became the first woman elected to the position of Tribal Chair and CEO for the Poarch Creek Indians. In this position, not only is she involved with the legislative aspect of the Tribe, but she also oversees all Tribal operations including Tribal Government, Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority, and PCI Gaming Authority (PCIGA). Previously, she served as Vice-Chair of the Tribal Council since 2006. Full Bio

Sarah Savage Jones

Raised in Dothan, Sarah currently serves one of the largest publicly-held hospital systems in the U.S. Prior to this role, Sarah served as president/CEO of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County for 19 years.

Sarah serves on the Rotary Club of Huntsville board, and is a Committee of 100 member and Junior League Sustainer. She has served on 20 boards and civic committees, and is the recipient of numerous awards. Full Bio
