$35,000 in COVID-19 Relief!
Thanks to you, we have given $35,000 to our partners that support emergency services. They are helping people who have been financially impacted by the effects of COVID-19 with food, utilities, and rent. These are some of their heartfelt comments:

"I have never had to ask for help before.
I really didn't even know where to begin. Thank you!"

"My husband got furloughed, and I make $10 an hour.
I am supporting him, my mother, and our three children.
I don't know how we are going to make it."

Some families will suffer financial hardship for many months. If your income is secure, please consider donating . Many thanks to those who already have.
UWSEMO Under Attack!
One horrid post by someone claiming to be our employee threw us into a social media nightmare. Although they went low, we aimed high and shared our anti-hate message with nearly 300,000 people! Once we explained, we received an outpouring of support, but we still need your help to counter some negative reviews.
Please visit our Facebook Page or Google
United Way of Southeast Missouri to leave us a positive review.
Waiting to Go Over the Edge
We are sad to announce we will not go Over the Edge in 2020.

We know a lot of you were looking forward to seeing these brave Edgers take on Towers South today; we were too! This was going to be a celebration of the past 50 years of our organization as well as a thrilling fundraiser. Last year's event raised $45,000 for our community, and we were on track to pass it this year.

Although we cannot have this event in 2020, we are still working closely with SEMO in the hope of going Over the Edge next spring.

In the meantime, we look forward to kicking off our 50th Workplace Campaign as a United Way!

Keep an eye out for some exciting virtual and social distancing events!

We Couldn't do it Without YOU!
Traditionally, we work with employees across Southeast Missouri who donate through payroll deduction. Listed above are our Top Ten Employee Campaigns who collectively raised $269,355, which is being invested directly back into our community through our network of Funded Partners. Thanks to Corporate Investors who help support our operating expenses, 99% of employee contributions go directly to local programs focused on education, health, and financial stability for people across Southeast Missouri.

Many of our Top Ten workplace employees do not get to hear from us in person and do not know the impact they are making on our organization and within the community. Well.. now you know, it's big! THANK YOU!
Is Your Workplace Involved?
So what does it mean to run a UWSEMO Workplace Campaign?

The workplaces in our network range from 5 to 500 employees. We always make sure we work with your ECC (Employee Campaign Champion) and leadership team to make things as interactive and convenient as possible!

We always give you the opportunity to hear from our nonprofit partners about the work they are doing with the funds from your United Way payroll deduction.

The stories they can share are extremely moving!
We have countless opportunities to create something unique for your team. If you have an idea, please reach out. We would love to incorporate your ideas and customize your next Employee Campaign. We are your partner and want to help put your workplace in the Top Ten for 2020!
