A member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and professional photographer, Sharon Hoogstraten has spent a decade creating formal portraits of fellow Potawatomis. This legacy project spans all nine Potawatomi Nations and is our gift to the future seven generations. Focusing on both the traditional and contemporary aspects of regalia, it is also a declaration of continued existence. WE ARE STILL HERE! Her nearly life-sized portraits have been widely exhibited and collected. A book, Dancing for Our Tribe: Potawatomi Tradition in the New Millennium was released in August 2022. She lives in Chicago/Shikaakwa, homeland of her ancestors.

Stephanie Perdew, PhD is an historian, educator, and spiritual leader. She teaches history at Garrett Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, and serves as an associate conference minister in the Illinois Conference United Church of Christ. She works with faith-based communities around land acknowledgement practices, and her most recent article on the topic can be read here: https://www.christiancentury.org/article/features/native-land
She serves on the board of directors for the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian, and co-chairs the Indigenous Study Committee of Garrett Seminary. She is a tribal citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Audrey works in philanthropy at Wayfarer Foundation.They fund and support spiritually rooted and justice-oriented nonprofits. She describes her work as philanthropy with a heart, and is proud that 80% of their funds support BIPOC nonprofits.

Kim brings over 20 years of experience working on behalf of many leading tribal organizations, federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private sector entities to develop and deliver culturally relevant initiatives and programming designed to improve the well-being of Native children, families, and communities. Kim is also the founder of Wolf River Consulting Group and previously served as the Communications Director at the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Indian Education. Kim is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation and a descendant of the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin. She joined the Mitchell Museum in October 2021.

Over the past 25 years, Pam has successfully led regional and national Native American and other non-profit organizations. She currently serves as Associate Director, outreach and engagement for Northwestern University, Center for Native American and Indigenous Research.
Pam has a BS, Economics from DePaul University and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE). An enrolled member of the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin and descendant of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin, Pam’s career experience is embedded with her connections and trainings influenced by Native culture and community.
