Restorative Yoga – Cultivating Gratitude

Sunday, November 24, 2024

3:30-5:30 pm, $35

taught by Carla McAdams

Gratitude is a practice that opens our hearts and literally floods our bodies with feel-good hormones that soothe and support our nervous and immune systems. Gratitude creates pathways in the brain for positive thoughts and feelings, which then attract more uplifting thoughts and emotions.

Rest deeply in restorative yoga poses, meditate, offer thanks, and cultivate gratitude for a peaceful heart.

Free Gentle Yoga

at Middletown Public Library

Tuesday, November 5 and December 3, 2024

5:30-6:30pm

taught by Mary Koster, MSY teacher

Join Mary Koster for a free, 60-minute Gentle Yoga class at Middletown’s Public Library. Mary plans to incorporate ideas from Lee Albert’s recent workshop at MSY on yoga and pain-free living.

The library class will include breathing, stretching, yoga postures, and a final relaxation. All levels of students are welcome - many options are offered, including how to participate in a chair.

No preregistration is required, just drop-in at the library. Bring a yoga mat if you have one, or there will be a few extras on hand.

MSY offers free yoga classes at the Middletown Library each month on the first Tuesday (5:30pm Gentle Yoga) and second Wednesday (1:00pm Chair Yoga) as a public service, in gratitude for all the support we have received from the Middletown community these past 18 years. These classes are perfect for newcomers and long-time yoga students alike.
