Note from Angela: Update on Glenwood Inn acquisition effort

I’m thrilled to be able to share some news about the property familiarly known on Orcas Island as Glenwood Inn. The Preservation Trust, in partnership with the San Juan County Conservation Land Bank, are the successful bidders on this 58-acre waterfront property, with its 1,857 feet of natural shoreline. This highly conservation-worthy parcel is now under contract for public acquisition and permanent conservation. Read more.

This year, Skip Bold from Shaw Island is being honored as the Volunteer of the Year for 2021–22. He’s a true example of a good island neighbor, certainly one we are privileged to have around!
