Hello and Happy Friday!

We're wrapping up our look back at pavement Late Model drivers who won rookie of the year honors in 2025 in this Friday Features edition.

A total of nine drivers are profiled in these pages. Two are cousins: 14-year-olds Mason Metzger and Bryce Bozell in Michigan (inset photo from the team). Bryce is the more familiar name, and not just because he's the son of Phil Bozell and grandson of Andy Bozell who are Wolverine State fixtures. Bryce split time between his Outlaw Limited pursuits - and a second straight track championship in that class at Kalamazoo Speedway - and his full Outlaw Late Model ride, where he was the top rookie in the Reveal the Hammer circuit. Metzger finished his first season in full-sized cars, namely the Late Model Sportsman ranks at Kalamazoo.

Three of the featured rookies raced in Alabama, although only Montgomery Motor Speedway top newcomer Taylor Corum lives in the Yellowhammer State. Corum's good friend and trusted photographer Gavon Veach crossed the Tennessee state line to race at Huntsville Speedway, while Texas traveler Nathan Caldwell won that honor at Mobile International Speedway.

In Wisconsin, Jason Stark was the top rookie in the Big 8 Limited Late Model-like headline division at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, while Mitch Haver scored that distinction in Super Late Models at Slinger Super Speedway. And in New England, we look at Pro All Stars Series rookie of the year Brandon Varney and American-Canadian Tour top freshman Justin Storace.

Scroll down to the large-type underlined link near the bottom of this email to read this week's Friday Features release! Next week LMD will be all about Florida Speedweeks.

To continue seeing LMD releases in your email box starting next Wednesday, you'll need to subscribe at a cost of $30 per year. The cost winds up being about 27-28 cents per release. And once you subscribe, we encourage suggestions from subscribers on topics for Thursday Throwback and Friday Features articles (Wednesday Winners subjects are more obvious).

Those wishing to subscribe may send checks to the address at the bottom of this email. We are also set up on Zelle and Venmo; please contact me for that information at this email address, jimcarsonlmd@gmail.com. PayPal is also an option but we'd have to email you an invoice. We will do our best to make it worth the $30 per year for the subscription.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend, especially those who are in or heading back from the Sunshine State. Thank you for your support of Late Model Digest!
