Good evening!

This weekend brought one of the most anticipated events on the zMax CARS Tour slate. At least half of the Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model entries at Hickory Motor Speedway in Newton, N.C., brought some kind of Throwback paint scheme for the event, such as LMSC polesitter Kaden Honeycutt (whose #17 look was also a fundraiser for the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund; Tom Usry Racing photo).

Honeycutt found trouble late in the race, opening the door for first-time series winner Matthew Gould. The rundowns and photos from Gould's and T.J. DeCaire's victories are leading off this Monday Digest release.

This was a big weekend in several areas of North America. Alexendre Tardif and Jimmy Renfrew Jr. won key tuneup races for Super Late Models at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine; remember that the Oxford 250 is set for August 30. New England also saw D.J. Shaw and David Darling add to their long list of recent successes, while Taylor Hoar scored a landmark win at Thunder Road in Barre, Vt.

The success stories included veteran Casey Johnson and teenager Carter Nilson in Wisconsin, Jason Timmerman and Ryder Van Alst in Indiana, Chase Pinsonneault in the Turn One CRA Pro Late Model Series, and Kyle Ray in Colorado. This was also a big weekend for Michael Lavoie in Quebec and Dylan Blenkhorn in Nova Scotia, and surprisingly western Canada hogged the spotlight with the Len Jansen Memorial in British Columbia and the Bridge City 200 in Saskatchewan.
