Good morning!

Our final Late Model Digest release of 2023 examines five Late Model champions from this season.

This Friday Features collection begins with Travis Benjamin, who became used to success in PASS and Oxford Plains Speedway. The Granite State Pro Stock Series champion marked some new territory in 2023.

Then we have those who succeeded in points races at Michigan racetracks and two in Idaho. Two of these four champions have racing stories to tell about their grandfathers, including Kalamazoo LMS champion Luke Krick with his grandpa Paul Fitzpatrick (pictured; Jim DenHamer photo).

Click on the large-type link below to read these pieces. Then scroll down a little more to see the December impact of the other Michigan champion in these pages.

Above all, we hope you have a safe and happy New Year's Day, Eve and weekend. We're taking Monday off (our two Michigan track champions might be interested in the Wolverines in the College Football Playoff), but we'll be back Wednesday and next Friday with some more 2023 champions.

Thank you for reading, and Happy 2024, everyone!

Late Model Digest - December 29, 2023 (Friday Features)

Below: This #3 Pro Late Model was Chris Munson's machine at the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 earlier this month at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola FL, and Jon Beach was his main advisor for the weekend. Unfortunately Munson was unable to qualify for the Snowflake, but this car was voted the Best Appearing Car among the Pro field, and he received a bonus from HDFive/ Horvath Design (Racing America photo).
