Good afternoon!

Independence Day weekend is a little bit lighter in the schedules of pavement Late Model racing across North America than Memorial Day or Labor Day. This year it was even lighter because of some rainouts, especially in the upper Midwest but also in the American-Canadian Tour's latest visit north of the border. But there was still plenty of action with our favorite divisions of short-track racing, and plenty of images such as the three-wide pace laps before the Celebration of America 300 PASS event at Oxford Plains Speedway in Maine (inset photo from Norm Marx).

Our Monday Digest results list begins with that Oxford show, won by Garrett Hall, and the other event from last Wednesday, the zMax CARS Tour doubleheader at Caraway Speedway near Asheboro NC. The biggest partiers there were home-track veteran and former LMSC champion Jared Fryar and first-time winner Brandon Lopez and their families and teams.

From the weekend the big winners included Tyler Roahrig, a repeater in the Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Late Model Series at Berlin Raceway in Michigan, and Chris Shannon, who won the latest Jegs CRA All-Stars Tour event at Whittemore Speedway which is also in the Wolverine State. Out west the memorial tribute winners included Bob Presley at South Sound Speedway in Washington and Sam Solari at Stockton 99 Speedway in California.

Results from those extra-distance shows and every weekly contest are shown below, along with more than a dozen photos and also some story links where available. That's part one of our regular format; part two is our Wednesday Winners with some exclusive stories of recent triumphs.

Scroll down to see all of the content, and click on photos to see if the photographers have websites or online presences. Then check back here Wednesday for updates on the newest customer of longtime Late Model ace driver Preston Peltier, a returning driver from North Carolina and a winning streak in New England.

Thank you for reading, and have a great week!
