Applying for a SBA Loan
If you will be applying for a loan through the Small Business Administration, GLGA recommends that you don't wait to wait start the application process. There are two financial aid programs aimed at small businesses in our industry. The first is the
Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
which just became available. Second, is the
Economic Injury Disaster Loan Assistance (EIDL)
, which has been available since Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin were declared disaster areas.

Cash Flow Resource Downloads and Recorded Webinar
GLGA member company LB Carlson recently presented "Financial Management in a Downturn: Print & COVID-19." During the webinar, the presenters discussed a cash flow tool that they developed to help companies in the industry forecast their needed cash flow for the coming weeks.

New HR Posters Reminder
As of April 1, the Department of Labor requires posters to be hung in workplaces and notices to be delivered to employees about the new laws related to the passage of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Links to these posters can be found on PIA's dedicated

GLGA Impact Survey
GLGA is surveying our region's businesses to
quantify the essential work and business activity of the printing industry in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. An invitation was sent yesterday to company presidents, CEOs, general managers, controllers, CFOs, and other key business administrators. Thank you to everyone who has completed the survey.
If your company has not yet taken the survey, we encourage you to do so by next week.
This survey is confidential and only aggregate totals will be made public.

Illinois Extends Stay at Home Order Through April 30
Illinois Governor
J.B. Pritzker signed the extension on Wednesday, April 1.

Indiana Will Extend Stay at Home Order Through April 20
Indiana Governor Holcomb announced today that he will sign a two-week extension on Monday, April 6.

Platinum Converting Offers New Face Shields
Platinum Converting, Itasca, IL, was among the first GLGA members to re-purpose their facilities to manufacture medical products. "We re-purposed some of our production facilities and are currently manufacturing and supplying Face Shields for healthcare professionals and first responders that are working so hard on all of our behalves. Face Shields are shipping out of our facility daily to hospital networks."
