Held every year on the second Sunday in November from 1-5pm, the Holiday Happening retail event gives shoppers an extra day on the weekend to get Christmas shopping done outside of regular business hours and also provides a special opportunity for local retailers to display their festive holiday décor and gift items. This is a great event to kick off the holidays in Clinton, and participating businesses often offer unique discounts to visitors during this wonderful yearly shopping time.

Come one, come all - the Clinton Chamber is once again hosting Yule Run Clinton, a combined 5K walk/run and 8K run race! This year's event, Presented by Continental, is sure to get you and your loved ones festively dashing through Clinton before relaxing to view the annual Christmas Parade.
*NEW FOR 2020*
Runners have come to enjoy virtual races during the COVID-19 era, so in the Christmas spirit of camaraderie, the Clinton Chamber is offering a virtual race option this year for those participants who would love to join the fun from a distance. If for some reason the regular in-person race is unable to take place, all registrants will be automatically entered into the virtual race and receive their finisher medals and t-shirts in the mail. Regardless of the way you race, you'll still get all the holiday feels this year from Yule Run Clinton!

Walter Leake MSSDAR Supports Clinton Park Elementary School |

The Junior Membership Committee National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Classroom Grant has been awarded to Caroline Gipson, first grade teacher at Clinton Park Elementary School. This is a $500.00 grant plus an additional $325.00 from Walter Leake Chapter to enable Clinton Park Elementary School to purchase a subscription to Tumble Books for the 2020-2021 academic year. Tumble Books is a digital library of books for children. The children will have access to over 1,100 online book titles of various genres. Each student will have access to this program on their individual iPad, which is furnished by the school.
Walter Leake Chapter MSSDAR is very excited to be able to help with the education of our Clinton children.

Clinton, MS – (October 30, 2020) – Taylor Power Systems is excited to announce the unveiling of our new Streamline Series of standby generators. The Streamline Series is a new line specifically built to reach those customers who are seeking a more efficient and refined generator option. These units are “streamlined” in that they offer specialized options and customer-centric features. Intuitive design reduces manufacturing time throughout the process without compromising our stringent standards for durability and reliability. As a result, the cost to the customer is drastically lowered and manufacturing lead time is substantially reduced.
“The word streamline is synonymous with sleek, efficient, and often simplified design. As consumers we have a fundamental desire to simplify our lives. Now more than ever we are seeking to streamline our lives with smart lighting, smart thermostats, and efficient appliances while remaining conscious of our time and resources,” stated Thomas Culpepper, Manager of Product Design and Development for Taylor Power Systems. “The Streamline Series embodies efficient design and elegant simplicity. We eliminated extra processes and materials to provide consumers with a generator that delivers quality, efficiency, and simplified integration,” Thomas Culpepper concluded.
Features that will stand out and aid in identifying any Streamline Series generator are their unique color options, Taylor Power logo, and lift off doors. The Streamline enclosures are available in two colors, jet black with a laser cut logo embossed onto a red background or neutral clay with a black background. Lift off doors are provided to facilitate installation in congested areas while maintaining serviceability. The Streamline concept does not stop at the factory. Provisions are made for the installing contractor to easily access tie points to secure to a slab, and provisions are made to supply customer connections for remote start, remote annunciator, generator running and common alarm.
We are pleased to announce that the TGS Series is currently available. These are the Natural Gas/LP models ranging from the 40kW to 150kW (models include TGS40, TGS60, TGS80, TGS100, TGS150). These will be followed in the coming months by the TDS line from 30kW – 200kW diesel powered generators.
