Here is the latest update related to
Coronavirus (COVID 19)
For People Served, Family Members, Staff, & Providers of CBC

At CBC and throughout our family of providers, we are closely monitoring the coronavirus COVID-19 and staying in daily contact with state and federal health authorities on ways to reduce the spread of infection. This situation is changing rapidly. For the most up to date information, please see the links below.

One of the most important things we can all do is remain calm, and to understand that we will be dealing with disruptions in our daily lives for some time to come. We are in this together, and we can all help in slowing the spread of the virus over the coming weeks.

Basic good hygiene practices are effective and very important. A few reminders:
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and ensure the people we serve and in our households are washing their hands frequently
  • If you sneeze or cough, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue, then throw it away
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Standard cleaning agents are effective against the virus. Be sure to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, remotes, appliance handles, etc.

It is further recommended that we all practice social distancing: This is especially important for older people or persons with immune systems that may be compromised or weakened. Practicing social distancing means:
  • Keeping 6 feet away from others as much as possible
  • Avoiding places where large crowds gather, and postpone social gatherings for the time being
  • Limiting hugging and handshakes -- everyone understands a simple wave and a smile
  • Staying connected to others but do it in ways other than face to face. Social distancing does not have to mean isolation
  • Being creative -- for instance, ordering your groceries online and picking them up.

If you, or someone in your household, feels sick or develops symptoms related to COVID-19 such as shortness of breath, cough, fever, and/or sore throat:
  • Contact your supervisor about not coming to work
  • Contact your healthcare provider or local health department
