2022 is starting off to be a great year at EARS. Almost 60 dogs and cats have found themselves at EARS for various reasons. The majority have found their Forever Homes. Medical costs are our biggest expense. All our pets are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and health issues addressed. A number of cats have been treated for upper respiratory issues. Two of our dogs are being treated for Heartworm Disease, which is a lengthy and expensive process. We are grateful for our wonderful foster caring for these dogs, it can take over 7 months before they will be available adoption. On-line fundraising events bring in much needed funding to ensure we continue to serve pets in need. Starting at Noon on April 26th until Noon on April 27th the Giving Challenge is taking place. You can click on the graphic to donate.

A hallmark of the Giving Challenge is its “Be The One” philosophy, which reflects the Community Foundation’s belief that everyone can be a philanthropist and have the potential to impact a person, cause, and community.

The Giving Challenge is an exciting 24-hour online giving event that we are grateful to be a part of. This event is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by the Patterson Foundation. Individual donations from $25 to $100 will be matched 1:1

We are re-locating our thrift store. After years of dealing with a leaking roof and very limited space we have learned our current location at 353 W. Dearborn is being sold. We will be moving close by to 280 S. McCall Rd., right near Will's Honky Tonk and Funky Thrifty. We are sad to be leaving Dearborn Street but unfortunately there isn't a retail space that fits our needs and budget. We are glad that we will be close by with plenty of off-street parking. The new location will provide great space for any array of great items.

We will keep you posted on the grand opening.

We are always in need of Fosters. All our dogs are in loving Foster Homes while they wait for their Forever Homes. The more Fosters we have the more lives we save.
