Our 3 months long "Summer of Service" featured multiple projects led by GOALS coaches who headed up 7 squads of AmeriCorps service members. The GOALS Summer Associates program and integrated ValTech Internship program set attendance and service hour records as we deployed an average of 50 service members across the region on a daily basis. Approximately 27,000 service hours were dedicated to various types of facility and program support spanning projects in Orange and LA County. See some select highlights below! Text Link
GOALS CADETS SUMMER OF SERVICE
As GOALS continues to create new opportunities for our involved youngsters a much anticipated new growth area for service this past summer involved our efforts to support the Angeles National Forest and a camp area in need of our help. Over the next year, we hope to be able to establish free mountain camp experiences plus add even more unique service projects to our GOALS CADETS outreach across the region.
