Answer: In a word, yes. Attorney John D. Gwyn explains that construction agreements can often be some of the most costly expenses that condominium associations and homeowner associations (HOAs) will ever review and consider for approval regarding their common element projects. However, many associations neglect to retain legal counsel who has the expertise needed to draft and implement the most effective terms and agreements. Ashley Garrett, an attorney in our Kansas City office, obtained a successful mediation outcome on behalf of her client. Plaintiff was attending a day camp and alleged that an older child sexually assaulted him. Plaintiff was seeking damages for $6,000,000.

"Gene" Richards, a partner in our Livonia office, recently obtained substantial mitigation of a penalty assessed against a client by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
