Important Dates for the General Election!

It's almost that time to vote in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7. All 203 members of Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives are up for election this fall, along with 25 of the 50 State Senators. As we approach the general election, we encourage physicians to note the following election related dates.


Keep an eye out next week, PAMPAC will share the list of legislative candidates that have received PAMPAC support in 2024.

House Liability Reform Legislative Package a Critical Step in Countering Lawsuit Abuse

Several members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives have announced that they have crafted a package of bills aimed at securing important reforms intended to curb the ongoing problem of civil lawsuit abuse. Those bills include: 



  • House Bill 747- Representative Torren Ecker
  • House Bill 2390-Representative Rob Kauffman
  • House Bill 1124- Representative Dawn Keefer


Several of the proposed bills, if enacted, will prove to be of significant benefit to Pennsylvania physicians. Get caught up!

PA Dept of Health Accepting Applications - Loan Repayment Program

The Department of Health is now accepting practitioner applications for the Pennsylvania Loan Repayment Program. The Program provides loan repayment opportunities as an incentive to recruit and retain primary care practitioners willing to make a commitment to practice in medically underserved areas of Pennsylvania approved by the Department Health.

Next week, the 2024 House of Delegates will resume business on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Hershey. Any voting delegates who are looking to make any amendments to a resolution during business at HOD, please complete the long amendment form to have your wording ready.
