Greetings!

It is now officially Spring - but where is the Spring-like weather? The cold start to the season hasn't slowed us down. Take a few moments to read about what we have been up to.
MCHC RECEIVES NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD
Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC) is the recipient of the 2017 Health Center Quality Leader award presented by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

As a HRSA Health Center Quality Leader, MCHC was among the top 30% of all HRSA-supported health centers that achieved the best overall clinical outcomes, demonstrating high-quality across clinical operations.
“We know there are individual patients that we interact with each day whose lives are improved by what we are able to offer,” said Dr. Gavin Muir, Chief Medical Officer at MCHC. “This award informs us that not only are we making a difference for individual patients, but we are also making a difference for the population as a whole.”
MCHC HONORED FOR EXCELLENCE
IN INFLUENZA VACCINATION WORK
The MCHC Immunization team has been recognized for its leadership and accomplishments this flu season.

The MCHC team was one of 12 health practices in New Hampshire recognized for "Excellence in Influenza Vaccination" at the annual NH Immunization Conference, hosted by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public Health Services (DPHS) . The MCHC team was honored for continuing efforts to achieve a standard of excellence in influenza immunization and vaccine management.

MCHC received another immunization accomplishment this month; Child Health Services at MCHC achieved 100% compliance during the Vaccines for Children New Hampshire Immunization Program biannual compliance site visit by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.

We are so proud of the immunization team at MCHC. From the ordering of supplies, to tracking progress, and reporting for quality improvement - it takes months of preparation to ensure staff and patients are properly vaccinated each flu season. Thank you to our wonderful team!
