Now is an exciting time to be part of the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce. Our team has long supported members both behind the scenes and in the public eye, and we’re finding new ways to do even more - particularly in member development, business support, and quality-of-life initiatives. After a recent team working session with our member and Community Development Partner Autry Technology Center, we’re finding our rhythm and building momentum as a newly aligned team.
This spring brings several opportunities for our members and community to engage. We’re launching Member Advantage Power Hour, a new bi-monthly, lunch-hour development series designed to deliver timely business insights and practical tools for Chamber members. Enlisted Appreciation Night returns on February 21, continuing a tradition that began in 1967 to recognize and celebrate the approximately 300 enlisted personnel at Vance Air Force Base. We also invite you to join us for Enid Day at the Capitol on March 24 at the Oklahoma State Capitol, where we’ll advocate for Enid and strengthen relationships at the state level. | | Community Support Makes Enlisted Appreciation Night Possible | | |
Enlisted men and women are often called the heart of the military—the hands, feet, and strong backs of America’s armed forces. Every day, they carry out missions, follow orders, and support the officers who lead them. But for one special evening each year at Vance Air Force Base, the spotlight is turned squarely on them.
Since 1967, the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce has proudly hosted Enlisted Appreciation Night, an evening dedicated exclusively to enlisted personnel, from airman basic to chief master sergeant. This long-standing tradition features food, fun, and prizes as a way to say “thank you” to those who serve. Approximately 300 enlisted members attend each year.
Enlisted Appreciation Night will be held February 21, 2026, at the Vance Crosswinds Club. The Enlisted Appreciation Committee is currently seeking donations to support this meaningful event honoring the enlisted personnel of Vance Air Force Base. We want to express our sincere appreciation for those that have donated so far.
