2025 Cherokee Strip Celebration a Success! | | |
On Saturday, September 13th, downtown Enid came alive with pride and celebration for the 132nd Anniversary Cherokee Strip Celebration. Under perfect skies, the majestic Slash-O-Ranch Longhorns—courtesy of Cowboy Bank—kicked off the parade at 10:30 a.m., circling the square and setting the tone for a day filled with fun and connection.
Event Highlights:
- The courthouse lawn was full of activity, featuring a variety of vendor booths and the ever-popular Kid’s Coral, sponsored by Tinker Federal Credit Union.
- The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center transported visitors back in time with captivating period demonstrations.
Parade Awards:
- St. Joseph Catholic School took first place in the non-profit division, earning a $500 prize.
- Mitchell-DeClerck, PLLC won the commercial division, and generously chose to donate their $500 prize to Foster Feet, Inc.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our event sponsors, the Enid Chamber Community Development Partners, and to the countless volunteers, vendors, participants, and attendees who made this celebration truly unforgettable.
Here’s to 132 years of legacy, unity, and celebration—and the many chapters still to come!
