New Chamber President & CEO Shares Vision

Happy New Year! As we begin 2026 with renewed energy and optimism, so does the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce. This is an exciting time for Enid, with strong momentum and meaningful opportunities ahead for our businesses, workforce, and community. I am honored to step into the role of President/CEO and to work alongside our dedicated Chamber staff, Board of Directors, and engaged membership.

With any leadership transition comes new questions and fresh ideas, especially following Jon Blankenship’s long and impactful tenure. I want you to know that I am ready to listen. Collaboration and shared purpose are essential to strengthening Enid’s economic climate and quality of life, and I look forward to learning from your perspectives as we move Enid forward together.

To help guide our work in 2026, I’ve selected Steward as the Chamber’s Word of the Year. This reflects our commitment to responsibly managing the Chamber’s time, resources, and your investments – always keeping the broader community at the center of our efforts. The Chamber belongs to its members and to the future of Enid, and I’m excited to steward that responsibility with care and intention. We welcome opportunities to connect – whether by email at ryan@enidchamber.com or in person at the Chamber office, located at 210 Kenwood Blvd. Stop by, say hello, and see how the Chamber is supporting Enid’s continued momentum.

Candy Cane Cash A Success In New Location

Candy Cane Cash was held December 9, 2025 in a new location at the Stride Bank Center in downtown Enid—and the event was a huge success. With a strong crowd in attendance and a total of $15,000 given away in cash prizes, the evening was full of excitement and holiday cheer.

The Enid High School Wrestling Team kept the drawings moving by assisting with the hopper full of tickets, while volunteers from the Enid Chamber of Commerce and Enid Rotary helped display winning ticket numbers throughout the night. Frank Bake and April Danahy served as emcees, keeping the festivities lively and engaging.

The big winner of the evening was Heather Bryant, whose ticket from Gala Mattress claimed the $7,500 Grand Prize. Other winners included Patricia Frickenschmidt ($2,500), Sharon Semrad ($2,000), Pam Morgaridge and Margarita Sanchez (each winning $1,000), and David Epps, who kicked off the night by winning the first drawing of $500.

Candy Cane Cash once again proved to be a fun and successful community event, bringing excitement, generosity, and holiday spirit to downtown Enid.

Retirement Reception Held for Jon Blankenship

Jon Blankenship's retirement from the Enid Chamber after three decades as President and CEO was celebrated with a reception attended by many community leaders and partners he has collaborated with throughout his career. Mayor David Mason read a proclamation declaring December 18, 2025, Jon Blankenship Day and presented the key to the city in honor of his exceptional service and commitment. Congratulations Jon, we thank you for your exemplary leadership.

As we reflect on 2025, we’re proud to celebrate the many milestones, grand openings, expansions, and anniversaries marked with Ribbon Cuttings throughout the year. Each ceremony represents the growth, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit that make Enid such a strong community. We invite you to view the Ribbon Cuttings 2025 recap photo gallery and join us in looking back on these special moments. We are truly grateful for our members and deeply value their continued commitment to investing in and strengthening our community.
