New Timing for PTO Accrual Balances

Our PTO accrual balances update in Kronos twice each week based on when payroll and manual PTO balance changes are processed. Please be aware there is a new cadence for when our balances update in Kronos to align with our updated processes related to our Infor Payroll implementation. Going forward, PTO accrual balances will update in Kronos on Friday and Saturday mornings.

Time to Review Your Benefit Information

Now that the new year is in full-swing and the first payrolls of the year have been or are being processed, it is a great time to make sure your benefits are set up correctly.

Checklist:

View your check stub to confirm your benefit premium deductions are as you expected (receiving the wellness credit if you earned it, etc.).

  • Note: Some paystubs are showing pre-tax vs. post-tax deductions in the wrong category. Deductions are set up correctly in the payroll system and the payroll team is working with our vendor, Web Checks, to resolve.

View the “Current” tab under the Benefits module in Infor CloudSuite to review your elected benefits. While changes cannot be made without a life event, errors and corrections will be addressed.

ID Cards – If you have not yet received an ID Card, need a new card or are wondering if you can use your old card, find all your answers on the Total Rewards site - ID Cards (under “Plan Info & Documents” menu).

Check your email! You may have Evidence of Insurability (EOI) requirements. Emails were sent to applicable employees after Open Enrollment for the following:

  • Optional Life Insurance increases of more than $20,000 for employee coverage or $10,000 for spouse coverage.
  • Long-term disability (LTD) increases from company-provided 50% to employee-elected LTD 66 2/3%.
  • Part-time employees who switched from no coverage LTD to LTD 50%.

Complete the Evidence of Insurability Process. If you do nothing, you will remain at the benefit listed under the “Current” tab under the Benefits module in Infor CloudSuite.

The Total Rewards Benefits site has in-depth information on each benefit and can help you understand the value of each offering. Make the most of your benefits choices!

Don't Forget: Annual Wellness Payment Through Voya

Don’t forget to submit your Wellness claim if you carry any of the voluntary benefits through Voya, which include Hospital Confinement, Critical Illness, and Accident insurance. If you are enrolled in any of these benefits and have completed a qualified health screening test, you are eligible for an annual Wellness Benefit payment.

Examples of the types of tests or screenings eligible for a wellness benefit include:

  • HDL & LDL serum cholesterol test
  • Mammogram
  • Immunizations
  • Colonoscopy
  • Routine dental exams
  • And many more!

The annual benefit amount is $100 for you, $100 for your spouse, and $50 per child (maximum of $200 for all children).

Submit your claim electronically – no paperwork required – and the benefit can be combined to double or triple your annual benefit payment amount when all three Voluntary Benefits are elected.

How to Submit for the Wellness Benefit

2023 Wellness claims must be submitted within 30 days of the end of the policy year. You must submit your Wellness claims by January 30, 2024.

Gift

Your Holiday Gift

Deadline to redeem is Jan. 31

Don't forget to redeem your holiday gift – a $30 digital gift card (see list of participating vendors) – by the January 31 deadline! Look for a “Happy Holidays!” email from [email protected] that was sent to your Aspirus email address on December 15. This email includes your unique invitation number and directions for selecting your gift card.

Lost or deleted your gift email?

If you haven’t redeemed your gift yet and you lost or deleted the email with your unique invitation number, watch for reminder emails from [email protected] to be sent 1/9/24, 1/23/24, and 1/30/24. You can also reach out to the HR Solutions Center or your HRBP if you have questions or concerns.

Important

  • Don’t worry about the blue external/untrusted sender banner. Emails from [email protected] are legitimate and safe. Please DO NOT click the "Report Suspicious" button or send the email to Phish Tank.
  • When completing the redemption steps, it’s suggested you choose a personal email address rather than your work email for delivery of your digital gift card.

Recognizing Law Enforcement

Vital partnerships in community health & safety

Public safety and emergency medical treatment are two vital services for every community. The two components also collaborate daily to ensure the well-being of our communities.

January 9 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. It’s an opportunity to show support and appreciation to law enforcement officers for their duty to the community.

Aspirus Wausau Hospital Emergency Department Manager Stephanie Dulak emphasizes the importance of strong community partnerships. “It’s very common for us to have police officers in the Emergency Department. Often, they’re here for very positive reasons and they help keep our staff and patients safe.”
