Bob Schmidt Retiring After 31 Years at CFHS
Bob Schmidt is retiring from CFHS after 31 years; he t
aught Government, American History, AP Government, AP American History 
and initiated the AP Government and AP American History Courses. He also started the women's cross country program in 1986. He e arned State Coach of the Year Honors twice in Women's Cross Country and was D istrict Coach of the Year ten times in boys track and women's cross country. Former students and student athletes are encouraged to help spread the word about Mr. Schmidt's retirement.

Cedar Falls FIRST® Tech Challenge Sign Up
The Cedar Falls FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) Online Survey is now open for the 2018-19 Season. Please  use this link to register your interest in being part of a team

We are looking for new and veteran team members to sign up for the 2018-19 FTC season. We hope to have all teams organized and funded in time for the season's game release in September. Once students have completed the interest survey, the FTC coaches will arrange team assignments. Team assignments will be made in late August, with the FTC season kicking off in early September. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Kenton Swartley ( ).
Cedar Falls FIRST® LEGO League Jr. and FIRST® LEGO League Team Online Applications are NOW Accepting Student Applications for the 2018-19 Season. Sign up as soon as possible to get your name on the wait lists for teams.   Use this link to access the application forms for each school building.

We are looking for new and veteran team members, mentors, coaches, and volunteers to sign up for the 2018-19 FLL season. We hope to have all teams organized and funded in time for the season's game release in September. Volunteer coaches are especially needed to ensure that all interested children will have the opportunity to participate.

Once students have completed the application, the FLL Coordinator at each building will arrange team assignments and  recruit coaches. If you have questions, would like more information, and/or are interested in serving as a coach for a team, please contact Kenton Swartley ( ).

The next Cedar Falls Schools Board of Education meeting will be June 11, 2018, 5:30 p.m. at Cedar Falls City Hall.  Agendas, documents and materials for all board of education meetings can be found on the Cedar Falls Schools website   . Watch previous meetings on the District's YouTube Channel Meetings will be available live at . This format works best with Internet Explorer.

registration for returning current K-11 grade students.

Covenant Clinic Now Scheduling Pediatric Appointments
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Iowa is making it a little easier to get your child to their next check-up! Covenant Clinic is now scheduling pediatric appointments at Arrowhead in Cedar Falls.

"Cedar Falls is a rapidly growing community and we wanted to expand our services to accommodate those busy families," said Jeff Halverson, Vice President of Covenant Clinic. "This location will give our existing patients in Cedar Falls an option closer to home, and we're welcoming new families to join us for their children's health care needs."

Providers now scheduling appointments at Arrowhead have been a part of Cedar Valley family medicine for years. They include:  Kendra Elwood, MD;  Lori Shockley, MD;  Angela Townsend, MD; and  Jodi Van Sickle, MD.
The first pediatric patients at Arrowhead, located at 226 Bluebell Road in Cedar Falls, will be seen beginning July 9, 2018, in a newly renovated area. Schedule your appointment today by calling 319-272-5000.
