CLI's A/R Risk Analyzer Named One of
HDT's Top 20 Products of 2024
Carrier Logistics is on the list of groundbreaking and innovative companies recognized by Heavy Duty Trucking's 2024 Top 20 Products list. The product recognized by the staff was the recently released A/R Risk Analyzer.
The A/R Risk Analyzer uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to identify at-risk accounts, which conserves valuable company resources and reduces bad debt. The AI-driven product looks at accounts receivable records much the same way that an experienced A/R manager would, focusing on such factors as account age, payment history, open balance trends, and activity for each customer. The system does this automatically, and it can focus on all accounts, all the time. That means even small balance accounts with a potentially elevated collections risk that might otherwise have slipped through the cracks are brought to management’s attention before they turn into a collections problem.
Products that made this year's list are chosen based on how well they address the following criteria:
- Innovation
- Ability to address industry issues
- Potential to help fleets’ bottom lines
Contact CLI for information on the A/R Risk Analyzer.

Carrier Logistics Automates Delivery Scheduling
LTL carriers now have a text-integrated customer-centric solution for managing a growing number of residential deliveries
| |
CLI announced its Residential Delivery Automation System: Appointment Automation. LTL carriers can enable the text-integrated solution in their CLI FACTS software to manage final-mile delivery operations more efficiently and effectively.
“With our Appointment Automation, LTL carriers can eliminate the complications that come with scheduling deliveries, where scheduling drop-off times has become a moving target, the size of the truck is sometimes restricted, and communication with the consignee is difficult,” said Ben Wiesen, president of CLI. “This text-integrated solution lets your dispatch team manage deliveries for shippers and consignees in a customer-centric, seamless and no-hassle way.”
CLI Appointment Automation addresses the growing number of LTL deliveries that are now scheduled at residential locations, while also providing real benefits to all deliveries whether they be B-to-B or B-to-C. The system, which will be included in upgrades of the FACTS software, provides:
-
Automated Scheduling: FACTS takes the hassle out of delivery scheduling by automatically sending e-mail and text messages to final-mile customers. These messages prompt recipients to select their preferred delivery time via a user-friendly mobile interface.
-
Appointment Confirmation: When customers confirm their delivery appointment, the system automatically creates the appointment in FACTS, schedules the delivery in the delivery optimizer, and provides visibility to the original shipper.
-
Reminders: FACTS automatically sends reminders to confirm customers don’t forget about their scheduled delivery times.
-
Real-time Status Updates: Enrolled customers enjoy real-time updates on the status of their freight, from being out for delivery, to ETA updates, and finally delivered, enhancing overall communication and experience.

TIP OF THE MONTH: Viewing Lost Customers in Web Analytics | |
|
The web-based FACTS Sales Module serves as a crucial resource for evaluating, analyzing, and identifying trends. It transforms customer-level information into actionable insights that empower sales teams to make informed decisions. This module offers Sales Tools and Sales Reports, which furnish both a high-level overview and real-time shipment data.
Among the Sales Reports are Analysis by Week and Analysis by Month, which contain a pivotal feature: the ability to filter and view Lost Customers. By selecting the "Lost Customers Only" checkbox, the module generates a report encompassing all customers assigned to the salesperson who have not had any freight movement in the past 60 days. This feature aids in identifying inactive or lost accounts, facilitating targeted strategies for customer retention or re-engagement.
|
|
|
SALES ANALYSIS BY WEEK: Lost Customers Only
The 13-week cycle reporting period, roughly one quarter of a year, provides a short-term focus, making it easier to track progress and adjust as needed. With this shorter timeframe, there are more frequent opportunities for the sales team members to assess performance and adapt to changing market conditions, customer needs and company business.
| |
|
SALES ANALYSIS BY MONTH: Lost Customers Only
The 13-month cycle is used in sales trends analysis to identify seasonal trends, track long-term performance with a broader perspective, predict future sales volumes and identify areas for improvement. While the ‘Lost Customer Only’ filter may use the historical data to show declining sales over a certain period, using the ‘New Customers Only’ checkbox
will show month-over-month growth so that sales teams can capitalize on opportunities or address challenges.
| |
|
SALES ANALYSIS BY MONTH: New Customers Only
A customer is considered new if they have started shipping in the last 60 days.
