COVID-19 infections due to the delta variant are on the rise. We encourage unvaccinated individuals to roll up their sleeves and receive a vaccine to help protect themselves, relatives, friends, colleagues, children, and neighbors.
If you would like to get tested for COVID-19, there are multiple locations offering tests.

Pool and Tennis Center Has Reopened with Adjusted Hours
|
The Cooper City Pool & Tennis Center’s hours of operation have temporarily changed, due to COVID-19’s effects on our staffing level at the facility. The Pool and Tennis Center will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and will be closed on Sundays.
All scheduled programs and classes will continue as normal. If you have any questions about a program or class you attend, please contact your instructor for additional information.
We thank residents for your continued understanding during this temporary adjustment to the Pool and Tennis Center’s hours of operation. For more information about the Pool and Tennis Center, please call 954-436-7300.

BSO Fire - Cooper City District 28 got a visit from trainers with O2X training, which specializes in developing customized programs to meet a team’s mental and physical demands and is led by world-class athletes, special operations veterans, and renowned academics. The Broward Sheriff's Office's Neighborhood Support Team organized a great event at Potential Church in Cooper City this week. Children had the chance to interact with members of law enforcement and learn about their daily duties.
Traffic team members, school resource officers, bloodhounds and their handlers, as well as members of BSO Cooper City's outreach team interacted with kids and their families.

The Broward Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection to an attempted burglary in the Flamingo Lakes Townhomes community.

Pioneer Middle Before and After-School Program
|
In cooperation with Pioneer Middle School, the Cooper City Recreation Department provides a before and after-school care program for students in grades 6 through 8. The program takes place at Pioneer Middle School and consists of recreational activities, homework assistance, computer lab and board games.
Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will open on Monday, August 9, at the Cooper City Pool and Tennis Center. Registration will be continuous as long as there is availability in the program.
Members of the Cooper City Recreation Department will also be on-site at Pioneer Middle School on Friday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for registration.

Residents behind on their rent and utility balances due to a COVID-19 financial hardship are encouraged to submit an application for Emergency Rental Assistance before the end of the national eviction ban. Four customer service centers offer in-person assistance if necessary or desired – an appointment is required.

Lost Rental Assistance for Landlords
OUR Florida supports landlords with relief for lost rental income to support continued economic recovery. The program provides assistance for past due rental payments and up to three months of future rental payments not to exceed 15 months of total rental assistance. Landlords should coordinate with tenants to determine eligibility for the program and to submit the application. Once the application is approved the landlord will receive payment directly.
