Congratulations to Our Florida Paramedic of the Year
The Florida Department of Health awarded Eric DeLotta the coveted Paramedic of the Year award. DeLotta, who is a Cooper City resident, started his career in public safety at the age of 15, as a volunteer firefighter in Cooper City.

October 2021 Yard of the Month
Congratulations to Michael and Randi Adario who were awarded this month's Yard of Month award by Commissioner Ryan Shrouder in District 4. 

Every month a home is selected in a commission district that meets and exemplifies the Yard of the Month criteria. Winners receive a $50 certificate from Florida Nursery Mart.

Tennis Anyone?
Bill Clarke Tennis Academy programs in Cooper City are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced players of all age groups.

Get Fit with Our Backyard Boot Camp
This circuit-style fitness class will target different muscle groups, as participants cycle through several exercises with minimal rest in between. Parents are welcome to bring children to classes.

Businesses interested in participating with a trunk, click here. This free drive-through event is Friday, October 29, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Flamingo West Park. Presented by the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Cooper City.
Hocus Pocus Movie
Friday, October 22 at 11 a.m. Pizza, a movie and more. No tricks, just treats. Costume optional.

Tormented Trails at Tree Tops
Take a daring walk through the woods at Tree Tops Park. Parental discretion is advised for children under 13 years of age.

Blood Mobile is Back at the Cooper City Pool and Tennis Center
On the following Tuesdays:
  • October 26: 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • November 23: 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • December 21: 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Donors receive a $20 gift card and a wellness checkup. ID required. Cooper City Pool and Tennis Center is located at 11600 Stonebridge Parkway, 33026.

"No Parking" signs may designate a time period when standing, stopping, or parking a vehicle is prohibited in any parking lot, field, swale, park or other parking areas provided by the city.

Code enforcement is enforcing this parking violation.

File for Property Tax Exemptions at the Community Center
Broward County Property Appraiser's office will set-up a mobile office at the Cooper City Community Center on the second Tuesday of the month from 12 noon to 2 p.m., next stop is November 9.

Free Walk-up COVID Testing in Cooper City
We have partnered with Allied Health to open a COVID-19 walk-up rapid and PCR testing site at Suellen H. Fardelmann Sports Complex. For information on days and times that the testing site is open, please click here.
Pfizer COVID-19 Booster Shots Are Now Available
Eligible individuals can now receive free Pfizer COVID-19 booster vaccinations at Florida Department of Health Broward's vaccination sites and participating pharmacies nationwide. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized emergency use with new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The booster doses are for adults 65 and older, younger adults with underlying health conditions and those in jobs that put them at high risk for COVID-19.
COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Sites Open
It's not too late to get vaccinated - even if you have already had COVID-19. We encourage unvaccinated individuals to roll up their sleeves and receive a vaccine to help protect themselves, relatives, friends, colleagues, children, and neighbors. There are multiple locations offering COVID-19 vaccines and tests.
Free COVID-19 Monoclonal Antibody Therapy at C.B. Smith Park
If you are sick with COVID-19 and are 12 years and older and are at high risk for severe illness, you are eligible for Monoclonal Antibody Treatment (MAB). Treatment is free and vaccination status does not matter. No prescription needed.

Mask Up!
To maximize protection from the delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, CDC recommends you wear a mask indoors.

Emergency Rental Assistance County Assistance Available

Residents behind on their rent and utility balances due to a COVID-19 financial hardship are encouraged to submit an application for Emergency Rental Assistance before the end of the national eviction ban. Customer service centers offer in-person assistance – an appointment is required.

CARES ACT Rental Assistance Programs Open

Broward County has funds available through the CARES ACT to help Broward County residents who were financially impacted by COVID-19 with rental assistance. Please review eligibility guidelines for the program. More information.

OUR Florida is accepting applications for rental and utility assistance Outstanding rent and utility bills that were not covered by other programs may be eligible for support from OUR Florida. More details.

Heavy rains can occur frequently at this time of year, To help prevent street flooding: do not sweep or blow yard debris into storm drains; clear catch basins of leaves and debris; and make sure that any landscaping is not blocking or filling your swale storm water system.

Operation Front Porch is back this year to help prevent “porch pirates,” who target your holiday packages while you’re not home. Our BSO Cooper City team offer the police station as a safe delivery location for your holiday packages. It’s a simple and free service for Cooper City residents, which is available from November 20, 2021 thru December 24, 2021. You must register.

Cooper City Explorer Program

Our Cooper City BSO District is looking for teenagers interested in a career in law enforcement or criminal justice. If your child in considering a career in public safety, this program may be the perfect fit.
