Annual Ring the Bell Ceremony
|
American Legion Cooper City Memorial Post 321 will hold an annual "Ring the Bell" ceremony on Saturday, September 11, at 8:30 a.m.
The ceremony will begin by ringing the bell outside at 8:46 a.m., next to the American Legion's flagpole. The ceremony will then be taken inside for the ringing of the bells at 9:03 a.m., 9:37 a.m., 9:59 a.m., 10:03 a.m., and 10:28 a.m.
American Legion Post 321 is located at 9081 SW 51 Street, Cooper City, FL 33328, next to City Hall.

Potential Church will also be hosting a 9/11 Memorial gathering on Saturday, September 11, 2021.
This gathering will provide the community, including first responders, an opportunity to remember and honor those who lost their lives during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and devastating aftermath. This gathering will take place at Potential Church at 9:11 a.m. and will last approximately 30-45 minutes.

Cooper City residents, especially residents of the Monterra community, should be aware of an upcoming street closure on Monday, September 13. Advanced warning signs are providing notice about the upcoming closure that will affect NW 33 Street and a portion of St. John Street.

Fall Garage Sale Spot Selection Lottery is Now Open

Whether you are selling or buying, the Cooper City Fall Garage Sale on October 2 is the place to be for deals galore.
Residents interested in participating in the spot selection lottery can come to the Community Center on Wednesday, September 8 to register. This event is only open to Cooper City residents. One parking space allowed per household. Proof of Cooper City residency is required to purchase the space.

Florida Licensing on Wheels
|
Beginning September 21, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be rolling into Cooper City on the third Tuesday of every other month by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on September 21 and November 16.

Lost Rental Assistance for Landlords
OUR Florida supports landlords with relief for lost rental income to support continued economic recovery. The program provides assistance for past due rental payments and up to three months of future rental payments not to exceed 15 months of total rental assistance. Landlords should coordinate with tenants to determine eligibility for the program and to submit the application. Once the application is approved the landlord will receive payment directly.
