Joel is a seasoned public health and occupational health and safety leader with over seventeen years' experience working in various labour organizations throughout the province of Ontario.
As a member of ESA’s senior leadership team, Joel led its future strategic direction to achieve its “getting to zero” vision of safety in Ontario. He has championed innovative approaches to harm reduction and regulatory oversight, and made equity, diversity and inclusion central to his philosophy of leadership.

Skills Ontario hosts camps for youth this summer |
Skills Ontario is hosting summer camps for youth across the province entering Grades 7, 8, and 9 to introduce them to explore career paths in the skilled trades and technology.
During the months of July and August, students will participate in hands-on activities, skilled trade and technology workshops and industry tours. The camps will be led by Skills Ontario staff and skilled professionals. Skills Ontario is also hosting camps for French-speaking and Indigenous youth and will also be offering virtual workshops throughout the summer.
