What's New in HD 102
Census Ready!
With the Census around the corner, our District Office staff have been attending Census workshops and meetings with Dallas County, Richardson, Garland, and Addison; to ensure that they are a resource for the community, as we strive for an accurate count. This year will be the first year you will be able to fill out the questionnaire online, making it easier than ever to be counted. To find out more, visit  census.gov  or contact our office.
Richardson's Public Safety Campus
Congratulations to the City of Richardson for the launch of their new Public Safety Campus, which houses Fire Station No. 1, Fire Department Administrators, Police HQ, and the Police Support Building.
Veterans Day

On November 11th, we as a community came together to honor with thanks, our great service men and women. It was a sight to see everyone at the Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade, marking the 75th anniversary of the D Day Invasion. Thank you to the Greater Dallas Veterans Foundation for putting on this amazing reminder of the sacrifice and service our troops have made and continue to make. We are forever thankful.

**Rep Ramos is a member of the Defense and Veterans' Affairs Committee**
Berkner HOA Meeting
Thank you to the Berkner HOA community for attending the 86th legislative update. It was a pleasure meeting and hearing each and everyone of you. My office is always open for further discussions about our community.

If you were unable to attend the update or would like Rep. Ramos to attend your next HOA meeting, call our District Office at 972-239-5367. Our office is here to serve the community!
Mark Twain's Dallas Zoo Visit
Education is of great importance to the development of our youth. It gives us a knowledge of the world around us; it develops in us a perspective of looking at life. That is why it was a great honor to nominate Mark Twain Elementary for the Dallas Zoo's Animal Adventures program. Thank you, AT&T for contributing to this program and the Dallas Zoo for teaching our kids of the importance of our animal friends.

HD 102 Business Highlight
Frutazo
Frutazo, a local juice bar and fruteria, opened up almost exactly a year ago by Chris & Will Garcia out of a desire to provide a healthier alternative to fast meals. The brothers built up Frutazo with support from their friends, and mom, who still helps out from time to time. Chris told us he loves the freedom to experiment with new recipes, and getting immediate feedback from customers.
Visit Frutazo from 8:15am to 8pm anyday (except Saturday, when their hours are 9am to 6pm) at 1455 W. Buckingham Rd. #120, Richardson, TX 75081
When you stop by, make sure you order one of their Acai Berry Bowls---a crowd favorite, and check out the handpainted mural by Cancun-based artist Minerva Gm.
